When it comes to doing fun things in Ottawa in the summer, you don't have to miss the city's festivals and fairs. Ottawa has some incredible museums and important buildings that offer guided tours, but the things you do around Ottawa in winter are colder. t have to be cold, because Ottawa is a great city with some of the best parks, museums and attractions in the world.
The National Gallery of Canada is a must-see - check out places in Ottawa because it's known for the LOTS of Canadian art you'll see. The gallery has many photo motifs, from the Canadian Museum of Natural History to the Royal Canadian Air Force Museum and many more.
Not to mention that it is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, home to the Canadian Natural History Museum and the Royal Canadian Air Force Museum. It's a great place to be a part of the history, culture and history of Canada, not just the arts.
During the summer months in Ottawa, be sure to watch Parks Canada staff operate the locks that connect the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal, let through boats and take advantage of the canal trails that are popular for walking, running and cycling. If you're there in summer, there's also a great canal bike path that goes through the locks of Ottawa, past the Royal Canadian Air Force Museum, the Canadian Museum of Natural History and other museums.

First of all, ice skating on the Rideau Canal is one of the most famous activities during the winter season. Just one block away from Parliament Hill is the Rideau Canal, which is home to a boat that must pass through the city of Ottawa to get to the Ottawa River. Locals and visitors alike should definitely put on a pair of skates and ride on it as it passes through downtown Ottawa.
