Ottawa pulsates with music in the summer. The Ottawa International Jazz Festival, Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival, Ottawa Folk Festival and Franco-Ontarian Festival showcase both local and international singers and musicians.
Pyrotechnics and theme nights bring the crowds into Inferno. Electronic/techno sounds throb through the after-hours dance club, Surface.
The Stones recorded their 2005 video, ”Streets of Love,” at Zaphod Beeblebrox. Another Byward Market institution is the blues club, Rainbow bistro. Live hip hop, indie, reggae and country rock bands keep Babylon lively. At Barrymore’s Music Hall, next door, Canadian and international touring acts play rock, jazz and other styles of music. Local jazz artists perform at Café Paradiso.
